2 Year pictures || Moving to South Jersey

Baby's First 2 years || Fife Photography, South Jersey

You know when you have been with someone so long that you don’t quite remember not knowing them? That’s how I feel about Brooke and her sweet family. At our session last week, I had to try not to think about how sad I am to be leaving Norman, Oklahoma and heading for Glassboro, New Jersey. Though I am so excited for the journey ahead, it is bittersweet to be leaving so many people I have come to love over the last 8 years. Now, to be completely truthful, I believe 2 years old is THE toughest age to photograph a child. With insatiable curiosity, they want to GO, and...

High School Senior Pictures :: Norman, Oklahoma Class of 2016: Sade

Sade2016-075_WEB.jpg

I remember this little lady when I moved to Norman 7 1/2 years ago. She was an awesome mother’s helper with her 2 younger brothers. I immediately hit it off with her incredible parents. Her mom is a talented musician and so gorgeous as well as kind and thoughtful. Her dad is a suuuuper smart developer, and always willing to answer my silly techie questions. He is good at anything he touches, including dabbling in photography and taking some photography classes from us. Fast forward to today, Sade is still her mother’s amazing daughter, now with 3 younger brothers. She’s busy in her senior year at Norman North High School, in...

Newborn Photography Norman, OK :: Caleb

CalebNewb-030_WEB.jpg

If you haven’t seen the joyous images of Caleb’s birth, go see his hospital pictures here, and read about his angel brother here. One of my very favorite pictures I have taken is over on my facebook page profile image, Shad handprint on dad’s hand. So small and delicate. It was a special experience to photograph this sweet boy with special items that I have photographed over the last 15 months. Once only a symbol of what was lost, has turned to hope. I think my favorite images are of the family looking at the portrait of Angel Shad, as well as seeing “little” brother’s larger hands in comparison to his...

High School Senior Portraits :: Norman, Oklahoma :: Tyler

Tyler2016-122_WEB.jpg

Being a mom of 3 boys (and now a girl!! Yay!) I sometimes daydream about what it would be like to see my little boys grown. When I met Tyler for our consultation, I was impressed how polite and easygoing he was. And that carried right on into the session. He was sweet and easygoing. He did so great, and even put up with my silly noises and things to make him smile. My favorite was our last outfit change– I didn’t look too closely and just assumed it was something nerdy that I didn’t recognize from Chemistry. It’s the last set of pictures at the bottom… tell me if...

Newborn Photos Norman, Oklahoma :: Soren

Higginbotham2015-054_WEB.jpg

After 42 weeks of pregnancy, and 40 hours of labor, sweet Soren is here. 10 pounds 5 ounces of snuggly goodness, we are so happy this little one. When they came into my studio in Norman, Oklahoma, I decided I wanted to try something a little different. With all the podcasts Dustin has been doing, we have a great setup to record stellar audio. So after his session while my lovely assistant stayed with baby, I asked his parents some questions.  I loved hearing his their thoughts and hopes and love. I hope they will cherish this video and these images for years to come. I love Soren’s name, and here’s...

One thing that has been so exciting to me is to submit my beautiful sessions to be published online and in magazines. It’s thrilling. But I have to say the wait just kills me!! They want fresh content that is exclusive, which means no sharing before being published. I am happy to finally share these darling images from a session that I did with my adoption series. My husband joined me in the effort to make a blog series on their incredible story, and then it turned into a short novel that you can go here to buy. I am pleased to be featured over at Lemonade and Lenses, a...

Hospital Delivery Photos in Norman, Oklahoma :: Brockbank Family

CalebDelivery-056_WEB.jpg

If you have been following my photography for the last year and a half you may have seen the beautiful face of a sweet boy born at 23 weeks in August of 2014. He lived 6 hours. Read about his delivery here on my blog, or here in a session I did for the family, or here where his story was shared once more. I am so happy to say with the miracles in medical technology, Caleb stayed in as long as the doctors wanted, and entered this world November 5th. After weekly doctor’s appointments her entire pregnancy, Sarah was so happy to have Shad’s little brother here safe and sound....

Family Photography Norman, Oklahoma :: Dewey Family Adoption Story

Dewey2015-028_WEB.jpg

Earlier in 2015, I was selected to be part of an amazing project for adoption.com. I had so many people nominate stories about adoption on my facebook page, and I could only choose one! After talking with my husband, I decided I wanted to share more stories than just one. I’ve now been blessed to meet a number of families now whose lives have been blessed with adoption, and I am grateful to share their stories with you. After years of infertility, this sweet family fostered to adopt two siblings, and then was blessed with pregnancy as well! Here are the momma’s words herself: “We always knew that we wanted...

Family Photography Norman Oklahoma :: Jorgensen Family

JorgensenFall2015-034_WEB.jpg

This sweet boy has been in front of my camera since he was just a few days old. A memorable halloween newborn session… we wound him like a mummy for one shot, and put his tiny body in a huge collection of candy corns. It was pretty epic. Oh!! And a “hot” air balloon too!! I should really go find those images to blog soon! Nash saw me throughout his first year, and I am so happy I got to see him again this fall. I love this age– so curious to see everything around. Even though he was having a rough day, we got some great smiles and playtime...

Family Pictures in Norman, OK || Ringus Family

Photographing happy people since 2006

There are some people who are so neat that you just want to be near them. Sue is one of those mommies. I met her first when my sons were going to the same Mother’s Day Out that her kids were, and she was pulling up to the doors with energetic smile and full of energy pushing a stroller in front of her. She lived fairly nearby and chose to walk to get the children. That’s awesomeness right there. Her home is so beautiful, with floor to ceiling windows around several parts of her home, modern decor you would find straight out of a magazine. And her children are just so...
