Striving, Learning, Growing

So many changes in the last year(s)… new studio, my boys are older, I shoot a lot more with lights than before. There are so many things I always want to do better, to do more. From clients to my family to hobbies, there’s always so many possibilities, and not enough time to explore everything! I am so excited about my new website– I’ve spent hours trying to get my new website built, and I am thrilled it is going to be wonderfully fresh and different from  anything I have had before.

I love to write, and I find that my heart yearns to express itself often. I love as I discover myself through expression of words and images. I have hundreds and hundreds of images that have never been shared here on my lovely blog, and I hope to change that. So here is just one set…

I love these images because it represents growth for me— this pose was requested by a client almost 2 years ago, and I just couldn’t nail it. With the help of my lovely assistant Crystal, improved materials and knowledge and patience, it fell together easily. What a marvelous thing to see growth in yourself!! You see how you improve and strive and struggle to get farther than you ever thought before.

And I feel like I have come into my own skin more in the last year– confident in myself and understanding of who I am and who I need to be for my family.

I want to hear from you! How have you seen yourself improve or grow in the last year?

I can’t wait to hear your growth journey, my friends.

More about Amber

Born in Denver, CO and raised in Upstate New York, I have traveled the world and now happily live near Mullica Hill, NJ in South Jersey with my 3 boys and baby girl on 4 acres of woods. I've enjoyed shooting since 2001, officially becoming a business in 2006. Although photography brings me much joy, I try to find ways to craft and create in other mediums too!
