What are Bridal Portraits?
Short Answer: a 90 minute, be sassy to the camera, strut your stuff, feel like a supermodel, make your husband happy he met you type of photoshoot.
Long Answer: Well....that pretty much summed it up! A bridal session is a 90 minutes portrait photography session with just the bride (though sometimes we invite the groom too). They typically take place at a fancy building like the capitol building in Oklahoma City, at some beautiful gardens like the Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City, or even something non-traditional like an empty parking lot, an abandoned alley somewhere in Norman, or an old weathered barn in Tulsa. A much more intriguing question is Why do a bridal portrait photography session?
I have two answers for why you'd do bridal portraits. First, if you're going to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress you're only going to wear once, wouldn't it make sense to milk it for all its worth? (I even have a sister-in-law who occasionally vacuums the house in her wedding dress...partially for nostalgic reasons and partially because she wants to "get good use out of it"). Why not spend the extra $150 and get your own little vogues session with just you and the dress.
Second....you look hot!! Why are bridals important? Bridals are important because you will probably only going to wear that bridal dress for two or three occasions. Although you may never even wear it again, you can at least remember how your wedding dress looked. And more importantly, you can remember how you looked in it. Not only will we capture the details of your dress, but we will capture you -beautiful, elegant, and unique. Schedule your bridal photography session.
A typical bridal photo shoot We LOVE doing bridal photography. We have not met a single bride who doesn't know how to be a spontaneous supermodel in front of the camera; every bride has the natural ability to be cute, to be adorable, to be sassy, to be spontaneous. It's incredible! Brides seem to make our photography stunning! All we have to do is release the shutter.
What we will do on your photoshoot is discover your personality, then build the bridal photography around you. We usually come to know how to work with your personality within a few minutes. After discovering your personality, the rest of the photo shoot is a blast! It will surprise you how natural you feel in front of the camera.
