If you haven’t seen the joyous images of Caleb’s birth, go see his hospital pictures here, and read about his angel brother here. One of my very favorite pictures I have taken is over on my facebook page profile image, Shad handprint on dad’s hand. So small and delicate.
It was a special experience to photograph this sweet boy with special items that I have photographed over the last 15 months. Once only a symbol of what was lost, has turned to hope. I think my favorite images are of the family looking at the portrait of Angel Shad, as well as seeing “little” brother’s larger hands in comparison to his prints and impressions at the end of the post.
If this brings you comfort, please feel free to share this post with anyone who has lost a child. Shad will never be forgotten or replaced. But he will always be remembered for the 6 hours we were blessed to have him. And these sweet parents get to have joy and life in their arms as they think fondly of someday when they can all be together again.
