Who knew 8 years ago that I would be photographing this couple again, on the other side of the US? I photographed this couple’s wedding 8 years ago this month, they booked me while the bride was still in San Diego working. We shot their engagement photos the day before the wedding, and everything worked out perfectly. Now, they’re in San Diego and I’m in Mullica Hill, NJ. Opposite coasts....
Sam and Cheyenne came to our home as new friends for dinner back when they were dating– and they lived to tell about it!
Conversations can be quite disjointed over 4 kids, you know.
I was immediately quite taken by Cheyenne’s soft-spoken manners, and how easily she got along with everyone.
A while later when they announced their engagement, I got to meet with them and talk about their wedding.
It was right before a youth activity we were having in our woods.
I guess we have a pattern going– busy, disjointed conversations!
But everything ironed out perfectly and we had a beautiful winter wedding.
The sun came out at just the right times.
Somehow the crowds departed at just the right times.
Before the wedding, Sam was adorable as waiting for his first look of his beautiful bride.
He was so nervous it took him 30 minutes to tie his bowtie.
Something he’d done 5 times the night before, no problem.
As we had the first look across the way from the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple, his dad and aunt and bff watched with teary eyes.
We luckily had space to ourselves indoors since the wind was blustering outside.
I love that these two people found each other, and made promises on their special wedding day.
Good luck with the rest of your wedding celebrations across the country, my friends!
This sweet pea came to me for her newborn session a year ago. It’s amazing how fast time flies. I adore her cute little lips and her curls are a perfect halo to her angel face. And here she is a whole year later. She was my first client in my newly-renovated home studio. Want to see some behind the scenes? Go check it out at Women Create...
For years growing up I had the kindest neighbors… the Sloands across the street, and the Lims next door (and many others– loved our neighborhood). I loved seeing the 2 beautiful Lim sisters grow into teenagers, with incredible skin and amazing hair, beautiful smiles and souls. 7 years ago, I got to shoot Amanda and Mike’s wedding in Fairport, New York, our home town. (Can you believe I’ve been officially...

This gives us plenty of time for them to plan for their newborn session and even take maternity pictures before it’s hard to move! Occasionally mommas find me after baby is born. So sweet to photograph even though older than a newborn...

Living in South Jersey has amazing perks, like photographing on your own land, in beautiful woods. This high school junior was up for adventures when we met up for her pictures. I love that she gave me full creative freedom. Sophie is easy to talk to, and kind and good to the heart. I loved getting to know her better, and I think this won’t be the last time you see...
