Professional Photographer Amber Fife (formerly Amber Clawson) graduated from BYU with a degree in visual arts. That's where she began her career in photography as a photojournalist. Early on she was noted for her keen ability to capture action, passion, and beauty in a picture. Because of that she was invited to work as photo editor for the Daily Universe.
As a photojournalist, her pictures were frequently requested from the Deseret News, an international newspaper. She was also instrumental in publishing the 2005 Bridal Guide where many of her wedding pictures were also featured.
Amber's talent was recognized by the Ensign-a worldwide magazine for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has published roughly 30 photographs in the Ensign. Amber served a mission in Taiwan and has been married since April of 2006 to Dustin Fife.
For Dustin Fife, photography turned from a hobby to a profession not long after meeting Amber. In his words, "I got tired of carrying her bags all over the place without getting to shoot. So I started picking up her hefty camera and here I am!"
Since starting his photography career, Dustin has followed in the steps of his wife by publishing in the Daily Universe, the Bridal Guide, and the Ensign. He has also traveled nationally to shoot at such places as Arizona, California, New York, and Washington State. Dustin has also earned the reputation as "the goofy one." (In fact, he wanted to put a picture of himself on a snomobile in the webpage, but Amber wouldn't let him.) He has been able to get some of the most difficult clients to smile.
Together, Dustin and Amber most enjoy playing with their new son, Corban Fife and going on photoshoots together. In their words, "It's not just our profession, it's what we love to do."
